Been a while and I apologize. I have actually not been on the computer at all for about 10 days because I keep having these headaches. I know they are weather related and there isn't much I can do about them. Nothing I have seems to take them away and the meds upset up stomach so it has been a challenging winter. They said on the news that this is the most rain in over 20 years. So here is a picture of the bridge near me from last spring and now. We have a lot of water! This isn't the same angle but you get the idea!

Now I have some heartbreaking news. I have been in such shock all weekend that I wasn't even sure how to communicate this. Many of you met my friend **** when she was with me in the States back in 2006. Last year about this time her mom died and she blamed God and walked away from God and the church. Since then, she has been working in Germany and living with her cousins but she has to return every 3 months or so to renew her visa. Last Monday, she was on her way back for the one year anniversary of her mom's death and was arrested at the Slovenian/Croatian border for smuggling 67 marijuana plants into the country. She also had a lighting system and all that one needs to grow the plants. She is currently in jail in Zagreb awaiting a trial. I am just sick over this. All of the girls are in shock. I am especially concerned about little Jelena as they are best friends and Jelena is living in her apartment while she has been in Germany. None of us found out about this until Saturday when it hit the papers. Jelena will be her tonight so I am hoping to talk to her and see how she is doing. Please pray that during this time, my friend **** will cry out to God as she has drifted far away. Now on a tougher note for me, I have medical insurance due next month. To live in this country, I have to maintain my stateside insurance although I cannot use it here. But if I had not had insurance when I had my surgery 3 years ago, I am not sure what would have happened. But since that surgery, my insurance has doubled. Now it is a bit over $7000 a year. That payment is due next month and I have no idea where that money is going to come from as I only have enough in my account to meet my monthly needs. I cannot shop around for new insurance and I think this is the best I can do. The insurance I have is specifically for overseas Christian workers. So I am asking you all to pray. I always hate writing about money but if I don't tell you my needs then we are all missing out on a blessing when God answers!

If you have written me in the last month and I have not answered, I promise to work on it this week. I am slowly getting back onto the computer. I have to take it easy until this weather breaks. It doesn't take much to trigger another headache! Please pray about that too. I will be stateside sometime this summer or early fall and will get this checked cause it is totally frustrating. To try and do something here just means a lot of tests I have already done which means spending more money so I have not had it checked. Thank you all for everything you do for me. I am always blessed by your words of encouragement, email cards, emails, packages, prayers, care & concern, and support. It is always humbling for me to think about where I began and where God has brought me and what He continues to do through me. Praise Him for His grace.
